Working with theatre artists and young people to explore the impact of the war as guests of the International Theatre Festival in Sibiu, Romania.

Drawing together theatre artists from Masrah El Tedj (Algeria), Theatre for Everybody (Palestine), Growing Up Theatre (Yugoslavia) and Meeting Ground (UK) with student participants from Sibiu University undertaking a series of workshops to look at war from different perspectives.

In April 2005 Jonathan Chadwick, Az Artistic Director, was invited to direct THE LONGEST WINTER as a consequence of contact with Az Theatre's WAR STORIES project. Here is his account of the work. The United Nations Office of Missing Persons and Forensics have expressed a wish to continue working with theatre.

Read an account by Jonathan Chadwick, Az Artistic Director, of working in Kosovo on a participatory theatre project on missing persons. Jonathan spent three weeks in Kosovo in November 2005 working with families associations that organise the families and communities of the missing, operating both in the Serb and Albanian communities. This project was initiated and designed by the United Nations Mission in Kosovo Office of Missing Persons and Forensics. Read the report.
